Hit-and-Run Investigations | Driver Fleeing the Scene

Investigations into hit-and-run offences are not solely the responsibility of the authorities; victims also have the right to conduct their own enquiries. Our IHK-certified private detectives from Kurtz Detective Agency Duisburg are happy to assist you in these matters: +49 203 3196 0052.

Location-independent Investigations in Hit-and-Run Cases

In principle, the police are the first point of contact for a hit-and-run. After a report is filed, the authorities must initiate the corresponding investigations — at least in theory, for the scope and quality of these enquiries vary greatly. As has been well known for years, public agencies suffer from chronic staff shortages, which means that at best simple tasks such as identifying the registered keeper are processed quickly, while more elaborate investigations are slow to get under way, for example when a foreign, stolen or forged registration plate is involved. Furthermore, international investigations by law enforcement are often slowed by official red tape, a circumstance that does not prevent our detectives from conducting enquiries on behalf of their clients.

Thanks to long-standing and highly successful co-operations with authorities, detective agencies and informants abroad, our commercial detectives are able to carry out international investigations promptly and effectively. Because traces can fade with time, it is not always advisable to rely solely on immediate police assistance. Hiring a private detective can be worthwhile. We will gladly advise you in detail and without obligation on the topic of hit-and-run. For enquiries please use our contact form or call the telephone number given above.

Damaged Vehicle; Detective Agency Bocholt, Detective Dinslaken, Private Detective Wesel, Hit-and-Run

Finding your beloved vehicle completely wrecked in the morning is bad enough. What if you then discover that the person who caused the accident fled the scene?

Pedestrians and Cyclists — Hit-and-Run Without a Registration Plate

Investigations into hit-and-run — legally referred to as "Unauthorised Removal from the Scene of an Accident" under § 142 of the German Criminal Code (StGB § 142) — are usually considerably more difficult when the person who fled caused the damage on foot or by bicycle and therefore did not carry a registration plate. StGB § 142 sets out the relevant offence. Kurtz Detective Agency Duisburg has the expertise and the personnel and technical resources to approach such cases with promising prospects.

Regardless of whether property damage or personal injury occurred in an accident, every assignment we receive is treated with the priority it deserves. Through meticulous enquiries, the search for witnesses and their interviews, possible accident reconstruction and many other measures, our private detective agency — serving Krefeld, Moers and the whole of North Rhine-Westphalia — is, in most cases, able (a) to identify and (b) to locate the perpetrator. Upon completion of our work we provide you with a comprehensive, court-admissible investigation report. We would be pleased to take on your assignment.
